Klean Kanteens are made from #304 stainless steel, the material of choice in the food processing, dairy, and brewery industries. Stainless steel is easy to clean, durable, inert, sanitary, and non-leaching.
The plastic tops found on the Klean Kanteen Bottles are Polyproplene #5. This type of plastic is non leaching and therefore provide a safer alternative from top to bottom.
Aside from the obvious uses as an every day water bottle (the 12oz Klean Kanteen with sport top being perfect for purses) and children’s sippy cups, they are starting to to show up as milk and juice containers in the fridge.
The Klean Kanteen Sippy Cup— a reusable, lightweight and risk-free 12oz stainless steel bottle designed for small hands comes with a sippy adapter made from safe, non-leaching polypropylene (pp#5) and 2 spouts, or with a flat, loop or sports drinking cap.
